This Park comprises an area of 54 kilometers and includes two volcanoes and five craters. The volcanoes have erupted several times in history, and were feared by both the indigenous people and the panish conquerors. The Spanish baptized the active volcano "La Boca del Infierno" or "The Mouth of Hell". They planted a cross, "La Cruz de Bobadilla" (named after Father Francisco Bobadilla), on the crater lip in the 16th century in order to exorcise the Devil. Return to Managua. Lodging.

This is the pace where the city of Leon was originally founded in what is now the town of Puerto Momotombo in the Municipality of La Paz Centro of the Department of Leon, Nicaragua. This city, after a popular consultation, was abandoned to be settled in another location. For this reason it is called "Leon Viejo" (Old Leon). his town, in other time inhabited for the first colonists after the discovery, in the beginning had in its suburbs a few 15.000 natural neighbors of the country. It is located on the banks of the Lago de Managua (Lake Managua or Lake Xolotlan), in front of the volcano Momotombo. Lodging

Day 4 - Leon - San Jacinto Hot Springs - Managua
Breakfast In the morning we visit the Little town of San Jacinto, just 20 kilometers northeast of Leon. Behind the village lie the boiling mud holes, connected probably to the Telica volcano. The field is not big but it is interesting as well as extremely hot to walk around and see the holes, which differ in size and color, where the mud is fiercely boiling.
